Improved Transaction Search
Transaction search perviously only searched on transaction descriptions and merchants, but now search includes:
- Accounts
- Categories
- Amounts
- Tags
- Attachments
- Notes
We have plans to streamline and improve search even more soon where you will be able to enter search terms like "March 2023", or "Last 5 weeks", or ">=$549" etc, all without needing to input/manage any filters. Filters will still remain (And themselves be improved later), but you can expect search to become much more powerful and streamlined, possibly to the point where you will hardly ever have to use filters
More coming soon!
You can now select the day of the month you'd like your budget to start on.
This is useful if you like to start your budget on the same day of the month that you receive your paycheck on, for example.
To set a custom budget start day, go to Settings > Preferences.
We've improved our AI transaction categorization engine, which results in significantly more accurate classifications.
We'll soon be upgrading the engine which does merchant classifications too!
We have implemented the ability for you to sync accounts that require 2FA. When you sync an account that requires 2FA, you will now be prompted to enter the required 2FA directly on FinWise.
To enable 2FA and add another layer of security to your FinWise account, go to Settings > Profile > 2FA.
Our developer API is now live, you can view the documentation here: https://finwiseapp.io/docs/api
If you have any questions or feedback, please message us: hello@finwiseapp.io
Happy coding!
You can now add colors and emojis to your transaction tags. Try it out from Settings > Transaction Tags.
You can now import and export your account balance history.
This is useful if you want to import your balance history from another source like Mint or Monarch Money.
Try it out by going to Accounts > Import Balance History
