Identify and remove duplicate entries

I am finding that I have many duplicate entries, though I am not sure why which is really wrecking the budgeting. Mostly they are the same values on the same day or subsequent day. FOr example I get two entries when I use Google pay to a merchant, one for the merchant and the same for googlepay. Quickly finding potential duplicates and allowing them to be removed would is critical

this is a fragile thing to deal with. For example, mint's CSV export doesn't include a unique transaction ID and there's legit reasons for having the same merchant/day/amount, but without some sort of unique transaction ID it can't be relied upon. whatever system needs to ensure to support transactions being the same, and just allow for a duplicate flag. I just don't want someone to make something that would block "duplicates" :)

mike I agree with you, and at the same time mint could still look for duplicates and allow the user to make a decision as to which should be removed. There would have to be user input for sure. Maybe it could be implemented in the form of a filter and then the user would just select those transactions they want removed and turn user the bulk error function to delete them.
